Confidentiality Policy
How ComplyKart protects your confidential information — what we collect, who sees it, and your rights.
Last reviewed: 13 October 2026
How we handle your confidential information
When you use ComplyKart, you trust us with sensitive material — financial records, identity documents, business plans, legal papers. This policy explains how we protect that trust. It is written in plain language and sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data specifically.
ComplyKart is operated by Complypro Services Private Limited, Janakpuri, New Delhi – 110058, India.
What counts as confidential
Anything non-public that you share with us in connection with our services, where it is confidential by nature or reasonably understood to be so. This includes your identity documents, financial and tax records, contracts and legal papers, business plans and trade secrets, compliance filings, and login or security details.
It does not include information that is already public, that you authorised us to share, or that we must disclose under a court order or legal obligation — though where the law allows, we will tell you before such disclosure.
What we promise
We use your information only for your work. Your documents are used to deliver the service you asked for — nothing else. We do not sell client records, and we do not use your business identity, logo or case details in marketing without your explicit permission.
We limit who sees it. Access is restricted to the people who genuinely need it: the team member or professional handling your matter, and service providers supporting the engagement under confidentiality obligations.
We protect it properly. Role-based access controls, secure document handling, password protection and staff confidentiality procedures. Our team is trained on this, and breaches by personnel are dealt with seriously.
We are honest about limits. No internet system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. Where disclosure is legally required, we comply — but we limit it to what the law actually demands.
Professionals and service providers
Some services are delivered through independent professionals — CAs, CSs, lawyers — or specialist vendors. Where they need your information to do the work, we share only what is relevant and ensure appropriate confidentiality obligations are in place through their engagement terms.
These professionals also carry their own duties of confidentiality under their professional rules. Your information is not passed around casually at any stage.
How long we keep it
We retain confidential information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law — tax records, statutory filings, professional recordkeeping and dispute-related retention all have their own timelines.
You may request return or deletion of documents you supplied. We will honour that unless a legal or contractual obligation requires us to retain them, in which case we will tell you so. Deletion from active systems may not immediately clear secure backups, but those remain access-controlled.
Your part
Share documents only through our authorised channels. Make sure you have the right to share anything involving other people — directors, employees, family members. Keep your login credentials private. And please do not send passwords, OTPs or card security codes through ordinary email or chat unless we have given you a specific secure process for it.
Before uploading, take a moment to check you are not sharing unrelated sensitive material that the service does not need.
If something goes wrong
If you believe your information has been accessed, used or disclosed improperly, write to info@complykart.com with your name, order reference if applicable, what happened and when. We will investigate promptly, take steps to contain the issue, and notify affected persons or regulators where the law requires it.
Raising a complaint does not limit any legal right or remedy available to you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law evolve. The current version will always be published here with its review date. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you have already accrued.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi, subject to any mandatory law giving you a different forum.
