Stage 1 is a document review of your environmental manual and procedures. Stage 2 is an on-site audit of waste handling, monitoring, and compliance practices. Both must be cleared.
The certificate runs for 3 years, with a surveillance audit every year to confirm the system still works. Recertification is due after year 3.
The standard requires you to track and meet legal obligations, including consent to establish and consent to operate. We build a legal register so renewals never slip.
