IN BRIEF

TiEcon Delhi 2026 is the Delhi-NCR chapter conference of TiE, the global entrepreneurship network founded in Silicon Valley in 1992, held on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 December 2026 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. It brings together 2,000-plus founders, investors, corporates and policymakers, and includes the TiE the Knot women founders' pitch and the Capital Lounge.

Short answer: TiEcon Delhi 2026 runs on Wednesday and Thursday, 2 and 3 December 2026 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, with 2,000+ founders, investors, corporates and policymakers expected. Your deck matters less than your papers. Use November to close ROC, GST, tax and share records so you walk in investor-ready, not just pitch-ready.

TiEcon Delhi is one of the oldest entrepreneurship conferences in the country, and this year it runs on 2 and 3 December 2026 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Two thousand-odd founders, investors, corporates and policymakers are expected in one place. Women founders get a special stage at TiE the Knot, and the Capital Lounge puts family offices and venture funds in the same room as growing companies.

TiEcon is run by TiE Delhi-NCR. TiE — The Indus Entrepreneurs — is a global founder network founded in Silicon Valley in 1992. TiE the Knot, the women founders' pitch special now in its 15th edition, is one of the most watched parts of the programme. The Capital Lounge is quieter and more serious — family offices and venture funds meeting companies already earning well. Both stages reward the same thing: a founder whose story and papers match.

What to expect at the event

Over two days, TiEcon mixes keynotes, panels, curated networking, and smaller rooms where real deal talk happens. Day one is introductions. Day two is where follow-ups get fixed. Policymakers and corporates are in the room too — a corporate pilot can be worth as much as a term sheet conversation.

Carry less, but carry it well: pitch and one-pager on your phone, printed one-pagers, a notebook, and access — on the phone itself — to your compliance folder. If a conversation turns serious, "I can send the full set tonight" is a strong ending. "Next week" is not.

The due-diligence checklist

I have seen founders prepare for events like this for weeks. The deck gets polished ten times. The documents get looked at zero times. Please understand how an investor's mind works. He meets fifty founders at TiEcon. He likes five. His team then asks those five for the same set of papers: certificate of incorporation, MOA and AOA, director and shareholding details, GST and income tax returns, ROC filings, and your books for the last two years. The founder who sends a clean, complete set in two days looks serious. The founder who sends half the papers in three weeks looks like a risk — even if his product is better.

So here is your TiEcon checklist — nothing to do with slides.

Certificate of incorporation, MOA and AOAYour incorporation file / MCA records

Fix what you can in November. December is for conversations. A pitch opens a door. Clean compliance lets you walk through it.

Your November fix-it timeline

  • Week one — take stock: list every filing you owe and spot the gaps. Check your annual filing of company status first. If something is late, read this guide on a missed ROC filing and how to catch up — late is fixable, ignored is not.
  • Week two — money records: match GST returns to your books. If you still need GST registration for a new vertical or state, apply now, not in December. Match TDS paid against TDS deducted.
  • Week three — tax and people records: confirm your income tax return filing is done and matches your financials. Issue share certificates that were only discussed. Write up minutes for decisions already taken. And do not panic about director KYC — this explainer on why DIR-3 KYC is no longer annual and now follows a triennial rule sets out the current position.
  • Week four — assemble the folder: one folder, clearly named files, in table order. Open every file once — wrong-year returns get caught only when you look.

ROC filing up to date? AOC-4 and MGT-7 done? GST returns matching your sales register? TDS paid and filed? Share certificates actually issued, not just discussed? Answer yes to all five by 30 November, and you are ready in the way that counts.

Common mistakes that hurt good founders

Share certificates never issued. Money came in, shares were promised, the certificate was never signed. An investor's lawyer flags this in the first hour. A small job in November, an embarrassing delay in December.

Board minutes missing. Loans taken, contracts signed, a director added — with no meeting recorded. Decisions without minutes look informal, and informal reads as risky with someone else's money.

GST and books telling two stories. Your pitch says one number, GST returns another, books a third. Reconcile them, and explain any timing difference in one sentence. A mismatch you discover in front of the investor is the problem.

FAQs

Is TiEcon Delhi 2026 only for startups raising funds?

No. Founders attend for customers, partners, hiring and learning, as well as funding. The wider conference is for anyone building a company who wants to meet the ecosystem in one place over two days.

What papers should I keep ready before 2 December?

The set in the table above — incorporation papers, shareholding, ROC filings, GST and tax returns, TDS records, books, founder agreements, share certificates and minutes — as one clean folder you can send the same day.

My ROC filing is late. Can I still speak to investors?

Yes. Attend, and be straight if asked. Then close the filing at the earliest. What worries investors is a founder who does not know what is pending, or who keeps postponing it.

How do I estimate what cleanup will cost?

Use our compliance fee calculator for a starting estimate, then get your list reviewed. Knowing the cost in November lets you budget, instead of arguing mid-diligence in December.

I am a woman founder. Should I look at TiE the Knot?

Yes, if you are raising or preparing to raise. It draws investors who have specifically come to listen. A tight pitch plus a ready folder will carry you further than a tight pitch alone.
