Related Licences & Registrations
- RERA Agent Registration: Every state RERA requires brokers and agents to register before facilitating property transactions — operating without registration invites penalties and blacklisting.
- GST Registration: Brokerage, commission and management-fee income is taxable; registration is needed once the threshold is crossed, and reverse-charge provisions can apply on certain services.
- Shops & Establishments Registration: Required for branch offices and client-facing outlets across cities.
ROC Filing Notes
- Keep ‘real estate development’ out of the objects unless the company will actually construct — brokerage-only objects keep compliance lighter and avoid RERA promoter obligations entirely.
- MCA may query objects that mention ‘investment advisory’ alongside brokerage, since that phrase overlaps with SEBI-regulated activity. Word it as ‘transaction consultancy’ instead.
