Overview
What GSTR-4 is
Benefits
Why composition dealers file GSTR-4 through us
Open each benefit to see what it means for you.
CMP-08 reconciliation built in
Your four quarterly CMP-08 payments must tie to the annual return. We reconcile them first, so the GSTR-4 doesn't throw up a mismatch notice later.
Correct tax rates applied
Composition tax rates differ - manufacturers and traders, restaurants, and services each have their own rate. We apply the right one to your turnover.
Nil filers covered
Even with zero turnover, GSTR-4 is mandatory. We file nil returns properly instead of leaving a gap in your compliance record.
Missed deadline? We fix it
Filing late means late fees, but filing never is worse. We compute the fee, file the return, and stop the daily meter.

Clear, current documents matter more than a long checklist. Names, dates of birth and addresses should match across records.

Process
GSTR-4 Filing process — step by step
You’ll see each stage, what’s pending and what we need from you — so filings don’t bounce back.
1. Know the cycle — CMP-08 quarterly, GSTR-4 by 30th April
GSTR-4 is the annual return for composition scheme dealers, due on 30th April following the financial year. During the year, composition dealers pay tax quarterly through Form CMP-08.
2. Confirm quarterly payments are complete
Confirm the quarterly CMP-08 payments are all made and recorded; the annual return consolidates them.
3. File GSTR-4 — typically 2–3 working days to prepare
Compile the full year's turnover, inward supplies and tax paid on the GSTN portal, and file Form GSTR-4. It is largely a consolidation return, so clean quarterly records make it quick — typically 2–3 working days to prepare and file.
4. Stay within composition limits
Late filing attracts a late fee, and staying in composition requires the turnover to remain within the scheme limits (₹1.5 crore generally, ₹75 lakh for special-category states).
5. Keep the composition guardrails
Remember the composition guardrails year-round: no input tax credit, no interstate outward supplies, and every bill of supply must mention that tax is not collectible. Then restart the CMP-08 cycle for the new year.

If a founder or investor is outside India
Foreign ownership is possible in many sectors, but it adds document authentication, banking and FEMA work. Set the route before funds move.
Plan before you start
- Check whether your sector permits automatic-route foreign investment
- Confirm the Indian resident director arrangement
- Map ownership, beneficial ownership and pricing
- Allow time for apostilled or consularised documents
Plan for after setup
- Receive funds through permitted banking channels
- Complete RBI/FEMA reporting and keep the bank evidence
- Coordinate tax and ongoing compliance advice early
