Overview
What GSTR-9 is
Benefits
Why businesses file GSTR-9 through us
Open each benefit to see what it means for you.
Books-to-portal reconciliation first
We reconcile your books against GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-2B line by line before we touch the return. Most notices come from small mismatches - we catch them here.
No auto-filled surprises
GSTR-9 figures, once filed, are hard to change. We build the return on verified data, not portal auto-population.
Turnover threshold checked
Crossed Rs 2 crore mid-year, or turnover split across registrations? We determine exactly which registrations must file.
Late filings fixed fast
Filing late costs Rs 200 a day. Already late? We compute the exact fee and file to stop the meter.
Documents
Documents required for GSTR-9 Filing
Clear, current documents matter more than a long checklist. Names, dates of birth and addresses should match across records.

Process
GSTR-9 Filing process — step by step
You’ll see each stage, what’s pending and what we need from you — so filings don’t bounce back.
1. Check applicability — mandatory above ₹2 crore, due 31st December
GSTR-9 is the annual return consolidating a full financial year, due on 31st December following the year. It is mandatory for taxpayers with aggregate turnover above ₹2 crore; below that it is optional.
2. Reconcile books with filed returns
Reconcile the audited books with every GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filed during the year. Most of the work is here: mismatches in turnover or ITC must be identified before the form is touched.
3. Fill, pay differences via DRC-03, and file
Fill the tables for outward supplies, ITC availed and reversed, and taxes paid. Any differential liability found is paid through Form DRC-03 before filing.
4. File once, file right — typically 5–10 working days to prepare
GSTR-9 cannot be revised after filing, so the reconciliation has to be right the first time. Preparation typically takes 5–10 working days depending on transaction volume.
5. Archive the workings for scrutiny
Archive the reconciliation workings with the filed return. If the department picks the year for audit or scrutiny, this workings file is what you defend with — not the portal summary.

If a founder or investor is outside India
Foreign ownership is possible in many sectors, but it adds document authentication, banking and FEMA work. Set the route before funds move.
Plan before you start
- Check whether your sector permits automatic-route foreign investment
- Confirm the Indian resident director arrangement
- Map ownership, beneficial ownership and pricing
- Allow time for apostilled or consularised documents
Plan for after setup
- Receive funds through permitted banking channels
- Complete RBI/FEMA reporting and keep the bank evidence
- Coordinate tax and ongoing compliance advice early
